Safari for Windows Follow-up

by Nick Bostic on June 12, 2007

If you decided to try out Safari for Windows (like I did), the reviews are in and it has been found to be vulnerable to hackers. Now, I just have to get one dig in (mostly aimed at my sister): an Apple product has a security threat the day it is released?! As Jon Stewart might say, “Whaaa?”

I won’t get into the gritty details, but it appears as though Safari for Windows was more of a Trojan Horse than us Windows users could have imagined. It basically opens your computer up to some pretty malicious attacks. The first vulnerability was found within two hours of the release.

Another excellent article points out how not everything Apple creates is perfect, specifically Safari.

I’ll keep it on mine, but purely for testing web sites.

Are any of you reconsidering your $600 iPhone yet?
