USPS Holidays are unfair

beat a dead horse

Okay, I know I’m beating a dead horse on this one, but now even more so.  Columbus day is a USPS Holiday. Are banks open on Columbus Day?  No.  I work in a financial industry, we work with banks, we mail stuff, why can’t we have the day off too?  Don’t USPS Holidays kind of defeat the whole “through rain, sleet, hail…” idea?

Okay, back to work.

They’re trying to include Cinco de Mayo, and will probably get it in the future.
Most postal workers are making less than 200K as of now, so they are being compensated with time off.

Even some banks are closed on columbus day.
I remember last year going to a BOA branch only to find it closed because of columbus day.
