Site Refresh

by Nick Bostic on October 10, 2007

For those of you who visit my site regularly, you’ve probably seen quite a few changes over the last few days. I think the dust has settled and this is the final (ha ha) version of my site.

I have changed my email newsletter signup to my Feedburner account. I attended a Constant Contact seminar and loved what they said, but I want to be able to get in touch with my RSS subscribers as well, so everything goes through Feedburner first, then into Constant Contact.

I changed my header graphic in an effort to further differentiate my site from my employer. I will still continue to use my site as a resource for customers, but the site does not reflect the views of my employer at all.

Furthermore, my employer provides no support for this site. I work on it outside of normal business hours (it’s half after midnight right now) and paid for the setup and ongoing monthly fees myself. This isn’t me complaining, it is me testing new technology. I don’t want or expect a dime from my employer for this site.

But I do have a few ads on the site. I had some of them on before and I hadn’t made a single penny yet. I’m trying some new ad products from Amazon and Google, so hopefully in the next few years I might be able to take care of my hosting fees with ad revenue :)

I can only thank the team at Eugene Design Pro for entertaining me. I kept finding new things I wanted to implement, sent them emails, and away they went. I know they’re working on a couple of large projects plus several Realtor blogs right now, so fitting me in couldn’t have been easy, but they did it.

Enjoy, post your comments in the…comments.
