Plenty to be thankful for

This Thanksgiving, I have plenty to be thankful for.

I am thankful for LASIK. I just had it done this last Monday and it would be pun-ny to say it is eye opening. I can now see without eyeglasses or contacts. I’ve been wearing them for around 13 years but am an active camper, mountain biker, snowboarder and scuba diver, so they haven’t really worked with my lifestyle. If you are a candidate, have it done.

I am thankful for the woman in my life. She treats me right, takes wonderful care of me, surprises me and is my perfect match. And now I can see all of her beauty even more clearly.

I am thankful for my incredible friends. I was fortunate to spend almost all of last weekend with them during our extended-family Thanksgiving dinner. It was a feast and we stayed up late into each night enjoying great food, wine and conversation. I’m looking forward to the next time I’m able to be with all of them.

I am thankful for my family. My sister is able to come in from New York for family holidays and I will be joining her, my lady and my parents for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner tonight before the big feast tomorrow. My special woman’s mom will be coming into town tomorrow morning as well, making the family holiday complete.

Those are the important ones, on to my tech-nerd thankful list.

I am thankful for digital cameras. I can capture all of these incredible memories with reckless abandon since my memory sure won’t last.

I am thankful for Verizon FIOS internet. I just had it installed and it kicks the living daylights out of Comcast. Get it if you can, you won’t be upset.

I am thankful for real estate technology. It has provided me with a career I enjoy (working with people I like) and allows me to investigate all of the latest cameras, PDA’s, laptops, desktops, software, cell phones and web sites that might make you more successful in your real estate business. Real estate technology is a hot market these days, despite the real world real estate slowdown, and I enjoy getting to sit right on the forefront of all of it.

I am thankful for you, my site visitors. It is your (occasional) comments, subscriptions or just plain old site stats that keep me writing. I hope that in the new year, you will step out from being quiet readers to active participants. I see my stats and I know you’re out there.
