Even more uses for Twitter in your business model, plus news from NAR Expo 2008

by Nick Bostic on November 10, 2008

  • As you are probably well aware by now, Twitter is a great blah blah blah. For those of you who understand the need, but don’t know where/how to get started, this is one of the best HOW TO’s I’ve seen to date. If you already “get it”, share this with someone you’ve been trying to explain it to in order to save yourself some time.
  • I’m mostly just sharing this so I can keep track of it. The social networking and blogging environment forces many of us to be sitting on a computer much of the day, but it’s my pre-new-years resolution to drop 7 pounds before the new year. And that’s over our gluttonous holidays…
  • Who would have thought someone would say there are Windows features to get excited about after the public lashing Vista has taken. I actually like Vista, but these new improvements sound great.
  • I have used a 24″ second monitor for a few years now and find it to be a great productivity boost all around, not just working on presentations. I typically have my Outlook and Google Calendar on one monitor, web browsing and other random apps on the other.
  • Unfortunately, I was unable to make NAR Expo 2008, but thankfully, Daniel recorded one of the sessions I was most interested in attending. Dustin, Teresa, Jim, Ines and Ginger are incredible people and real estate bloggers and should definitely be listened to.
  • For those of you still uninitiated with Twitter, it’s a tool to establish relationships, track reputations and build your company. In a nutshell :) You can now track when people unfollow you. The few people who’ve left me left when I’ve said something completely boring. Every one I wasn’t following in the first place. I’m not stressing.
