I'm with you. This is the result that has naturally ocurred in my use of Twitter in the past few months. I just don't have the time to sit on Twitter. Links that are shared have RSS feeds and when I notice I visit a site more than once, I usually subscribe, so I get the news elsewhere that requires far less of my concentration. I too have met quite a few friends via the twitterstream, but right now I'm feeling like I don't have the time between the day job, the various side projects and planning all of the summer events that I have the time to just sit on Twitter all day looking for the next insightful thought when the vast majority is very repetitive. BUT, some of the coolest things I learn about people are things that are said "in conversation" while on Twitter. I don't feel people having conversations in the Twitterstream muddies it up. There are countless friends I have met there as a result of people "chatting". My 2 cents... ;?)
