In the past, I have worked with restaurant owners, zip line operators, naturopaths, chiropractors and real estate professionals (to name a few) and have been an advocate of having a company site include a blog. Many business owners in industries that haven’t yet adopted blogging (restaurants, zip lines and clinics of natural medicine) are very skeptical about this technology.
Hubspot gives a great example of how a restaurant with a blog can generate quite a bit more traffic than a comparable restaurant in a similar area with a nice non-blog site.
The Data
Even if we ignore Hubspot’s “grade”, the site that included a blog had over 12 times as many Google indexed pages, was almost a third higher in Alexa ranking and had over 13 times as much traffic. That’s HUGE!
